The adult foreskin can be manually retracted behind the glans, in either the flaccid or erect state. Retracting the foreskin—the double layer of skin gliding over itself—exposes the frenulum and the inner foreskin’s ridged band, both richly endowed with nerves. During intercourse, these nerves are exposed so as to come in contact with the female’s clitoris and vagina—both of which are also rich in nerve endings, creating greater pleasure for both partners. 1
