Circumcision Not Recommended

Bathing your newborn is something many parents look forward to. And, naturally, many new moms and dads are shy when it comes to touching their newborn son’s foreskin. Most have never seen one before.1 Don’t let this reluctance determine whether or not he will keep it. Instead, learn how to properly bathe your son; this method absolutely does provide sufficient and thorough cleanliness.

CAUTION: Never forcibly retract (pull back) his foreskin or allow anyone else to do so! It is painful, and can lead to infections and adhesions. Stay with your boy during all medical examinations, and state that his foreskin should not be retracted. Your son should be the first and only person to retract his foreskin.
