Circumcision Not Recommended

Sometimes called ‘hidden penis,’ the condition has a number of causes such as being born with an overly thick pubic fat pad. It is also a complication of aggressive circumcision where too much skin was removed or the circumcision scar traps the glans.1 The child may outgrow the condition, but there are various surgical procedures to correct the condition if it doesn’t resolve naturally or when other conditions exist in parallel.2
